About

I (Rachel) am married to my best friend, Lane. He is pretty amazing, and not just because of his taste in whom he picked for a wife. We decided early on we would much rather spend time proactively working on our marriage than spending that same amount of time later fighting about it. We both love reading, learning, and growing. I decided to start the Kissing in Elevators blog because I would love for you to join me along in that journey!

I'm currently a stay at home mom to my two precious, beautiful girls. Since they are both under two years old, I am the busiest I have ever been with the toughest job I've ever had. Great time to start a blog! But since I love talking about marriage, learning about marriage, and have a passion for constantly improving my marriage, I figured I might as well blog about it too!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies and I am close to completing my Master's degree in Human Services Counseling - Marriage & Family Therapy. I enjoy doing pre-marital counseling sessions alongside my pastor-husband for engaged couples at our church.

The idea behind the Kissing in Elevators blog is to spark passion for your spouse and keep it alive. Sometimes it takes hard work and sacrifice to keep a marriage in tact. Other times it can be as simple (and as fun) as a quick make-out session in an elevator. Let's learn and grow together!
